Privacy Policy

Updated October 11, 2026 · Netherword for iPhone.

Netherword is free to download, with one optional in-app purchase. It has no ads, no analytics SDKs, no tracking, and no accounts of its own. We never see your data, because none of it is sent to us.

What the app stores

• Your scores, streaks, settings, and daily history — stored on your device, and synced between your own devices through your private iCloud key-value storage. Apple hosts this; we cannot read it.
• If you sign in to Game Center, your scores and achievements go to Apple's Game Center service under Apple's own privacy policy.

The free App Clip

Invite links (netherword.com/d/…) carry the day's puzzle number, the sender's language and score, and a check value that stops the score being edited. Nothing in them identifies anyone. The App Clip stores your result in a private container on your device so it can carry over if you install the full app. Nothing is transmitted to us.

Purchases

The in-app purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details and no information about who you are; the app only learns from Apple whether the purchase is present on your Apple Account.

What we collect

Nothing. This site sets no cookies. If you pick a language, your browser remembers the choice in its own local storage, which is never sent to us. If you email support, we see your email address and use it only to reply.

Changes

If the policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date.
